Eileen Guide: Brave One, Airborne Handoffs, and Teams

Learn how Eileen uses her halberd, Brave One, and an available Signal to open an Airborne route or give a carry a clean DragonSword: Awakening handoff.

Quick answer

Best for players who want an active support turn before handing the field to a carry. Eileen uses her halberd and Brave One, takes the available Signal, then gives the short support window to the hero with the next turn.

Who should play Eileen

Pick Eileen if you like entering for one useful support action, then switching quickly to the teammate who can use it. Her halberd keeps her active in the exchange, but the important decision is when to give the field away.

She is less comfortable if you want one character to stay out for every phase. Eileen's best turns end with a deliberate carry handoff.

Quick playstyle

Use Brave One before the team needs its next payoff. Take the available Signal when it connects to the team's state, then immediately give the short support window to the carry with the clearer continuation.

If no useful Signal is available, preserve the handoff and reset instead of forcing Eileen to remain on the field without a team job.

Core mechanics

Halberd pressure

Eileen fights with a halberd, so she can enter close enough to set up the support turn without treating that entry as a permanent carry phase.

Brave One

Brave One is the team-morale support action that begins Eileen's handoff. Use it when the next hero can actually take advantage of the coming turn.

Airborne continuation

Airborne gives Eileen a clear team route. Once the state is available, switch to the teammate whose next action keeps the route safe and readable.

  1. Enter with the team positioned for the next carry turn.
  2. Cast Brave One before the team spends its useful opening.
  3. Use the available Signal when it matches the current state.
  4. Hand the short support window to the carry with the ready continuation.
  5. Reset Eileen's position and return when another support handoff is useful.

Team roles

Eileen-Reina-Cerese Signal handoff

Eileen casts Brave One and uses the available Signal, Reina takes the Airborne continuation, and Cerese restores a controlled lane before the team returns to its next support handoff.

Eileen-Dana-Charlotte carry window

Eileen casts Brave One and takes the available Signal, Dana establishes the safer ranged turn, and Charlotte takes the carry handoff when the target gives the team a readable opening.

Strengths

  • Gives a team a clear Brave One-to-carry handoff.
  • Uses an available Signal to connect the support turn to the next action.
  • Fits an Airborne route without needing to occupy the field for its full length.

Weaknesses

  • The support turn loses value if no carry is ready to take it.
  • Staying on Eileen after the handoff can waste the team's opening.
  • Close halberd pressure is riskier when the team has no exit lane.

Common mistakes

  1. Casting Brave One after the carry's useful opening has ended.
  2. Using a Signal that does not match the next teammate's route.
  3. Keeping Eileen on the field instead of handing the support turn to a carry.
  4. Forcing an Airborne continuation when the team needs to reset spacing.

How to unlock Eileen

If Eileen is locked in your current roster, use the general Fate's Invitation and Exchange path. Check the current in-game Exchange list before spending, because this is general unlock guidance rather than a character-specific eligibility promise. The character unlock guide explains the flow.
