Quick answer
Best for players who want to set a useful off-field Shock zone, then let a teammate finish it. Tarte places Bolt Bubble, adds Holy Orbs, hands the opening to a Shock detonator, and returns only to refresh the area or help with a timely recovery response.
Who should play Tarte
Pick Tarte if you enjoy making the next switch better instead of measuring the character by a long personal field turn. Her strongest use is setting an area that a partner can convert, while keeping her own position safe enough to return when that setup needs refreshing.
She is less comfortable if you expect unrestricted recovery on demand. Her recovery utility is reactive and position-dependent, so it works best when the team has already left a safe route back to her zone.
Quick playstyle
Put Bolt Bubble where the target is likely to stay, add Holy Orbs, and hand the field to Sion or another hero who can turn the prepared space into Lightning Shock pressure. Once the handoff is made, Tarte does not need to remain out just to prove her own on-field damage.
Come back to refresh the zone or answer a recovery signal when the situation fits. If the enemy has already moved or the next Shock response is unavailable, reposition the bubble rather than forcing a detonation into empty space.
Core mechanics
Bolt Bubble
Bolt Bubble marks the area where Tarte wants the next exchange to happen. Place it around a target that is staying put, with enough room for the teammate who will take the next active turn.
Holy Orbs
Holy Orbs add the second part of the setup. Use them before the handoff, then leave the prepared space to a teammate rather than waiting for Tarte to perform every action herself.
Lightning Shock and Cure
Lightning Shock is the payoff to plan around with the next hero. Cure is a reactive recovery tool: use it when the team has a valid disable response and the positioning makes returning to Tarte worthwhile, not as an always-on heal.
Recommended rotation
- Place Bolt Bubble where the target is likely to stay for the next exchange.
- Add Holy Orbs while the path to the next teammate remains open.
- Tag to Sion or another Shock detonator before the area stops being useful.
- Return to refresh the zone only when the target or team has made the area usable again.
- Use Cure only when a valid disable reaction and safe positioning call for recovery.
Team roles
Tarte-Sion-Ornette Shock detonation
Tarte places Bolt Bubble and Holy Orbs, Sion shapes the space into a Shock handoff, Ornette turns the opening into Knockdown, and Tarte returns when the next prepared area needs refreshing.
Tarte-Sion-Lute recovery flex
Tarte sets Bolt Bubble, Sion creates the next Shock turn, Lute takes the recovery handoff when the group needs stability, and Tarte returns after the team has room for another setup.
Strengths
- Sets a prepared area that makes a teammate's Shock turn easier to plan.
- Lets the team hand off before the encounter becomes a crowded melee exchange.
- Adds a reactive recovery option without demanding a permanent on-field role.
Weaknesses
- The setup loses value when the target immediately leaves the Bubble.
- A team without a Shock response cannot make full use of the prepared zone.
- Recovery is less useful when Tarte cannot return safely or answer a disable.
Common mistakes
- Judging Tarte only by raw on-field damage instead of the handoff she creates.
- Placing Bolt Bubble after the target has already left the intended area.
- Keeping Tarte out instead of handing the prepared Shock turn to a detonator.
- Treating Cure as an unrestricted always-on heal instead of reactive utility.
How to unlock Tarte
If Tarte is locked in your current roster, use the general Fate's Invitation and Exchange path. Check the current in-game Exchange list before spending, because this is general unlock guidance rather than a character-specific eligibility promise. The character unlock guide explains the flow.
