Aria Guide: Bomb Setup, Signals, Rotation, and Teams

Learn how Aria attaches bombs, prepares Fire and Airborne conditions, times Switch On, and completes ranged handoffs in DragonSword Awakening.

Quick answer

Best for players who enjoy preparing ranged conditions before a tag handoff. Aria is a ranged Signal specialist: bomb attachment enables Switch On, while Airborne enables her other Signal for the next team handoff.

Who should play Aria

Pick Aria if you like working from range and matching a response to a visible team condition. Her two Signal routes reward players who can distinguish bomb attachment from Airborne before choosing the next input.

She is a less natural fit if you prefer one hero to remain active through the whole sequence. Both documented routes make the handoff itself the important decision.

Quick playstyle

Work from range and identify which condition the team is creating. Attach a bomb when you want the Switch On route. Use Aria's other Signal when Airborne is already present.

After the response, hand the target to the member assigned to continue the status chain.

Core mechanics

Bomb attachment

Bomb attachment is the documented condition for Switch On. Look for the attachment and the matching prompt before using that response.

Fire and Airborne

In the official teaching chain, Aria follows Castella and Lute with Fire and Airborne. Fire advances the offensive sequence, while Airborne prepares the condition for Aria's other Signal.

Two different prompt conditions

Do not treat Aria's Signals as interchangeable. Switch On follows bomb attachment. The other Signal follows Airborne. Read which condition the current sequence has actually created.

  1. Start from range and decide whether the current sequence is creating bomb attachment or Airborne.
  2. When a bomb attaches, use the Switch On response.
  3. When a teammate applies Airborne, use Aria's other Signal response.
  4. Hand the target to the teammate assigned to continue the status chain.

Team roles

Official Castella-Lute-Aria trio

Castella opens with Break and Stun, Lute continues with Stun and Knockdown, and Aria closes the teaching sequence with Fire and Airborne. Use the trio to learn a readable start, bridge, and ranged follow-up.

Reina-Castella-Aria Airborne trio

Reina applies Airborne, Aria answers with her other Signal, and Castella takes the next control handoff. This named variant uses Aria in the Airborne slot that can replace Lute in the Reina-Castella team.

Strengths

  • Answers a tag condition while working from ranged distance.
  • Has separate bomb-attachment and Airborne responses for different handoffs.
  • Fits the official trio without asking her to be the frontline opener.

Weaknesses

  • Switch On does not answer the Airborne route.
  • Her other Signal requires Airborne rather than bomb attachment.
  • The two conditions are easy to confuse when several team prompts are active.

Common mistakes

  1. Looking for Switch On before a bomb is attached.
  2. Expecting the other Signal without applying Airborne first.
  3. Using the response that does not match the condition currently present.
  4. Keeping Aria active after another hero has the cleaner continuation.

How to unlock Aria

If Aria is locked in your current roster, use the general Fate's Invitation and Exchange path. Check the current in-game Exchange list before spending, because this is general unlock guidance rather than a character-specific eligibility promise. The character unlock guide explains the flow.
